Tarryn Stokes’ new song Rubies and Gold arrives with sparkle, but its heart runs much deeper.
The idea was born after her niece was told by a teacher that she didn’t deserve the role she’d been given in a musical. Not because she lacked talent, but simply because she was shy. Hearing that crushed Tarryn. She wanted to speak directly into that kind of hurt, reminding her and anyone listening that worth doesn’t come from applause or approval. It’s already woven into who you are.
During the chat, Tarryn shares openly about learning to believe that truth for herself too. From navigating shyness to understanding ADHD and standing on stages while feeling small inside, she’s spent years finding her voice – and now uses it to lift others up.
And in the middle of it all, her kids dance beside her, jumping into homemade music videos filmed between school runs, adding their own joy to the journey.
Rubies and Gold shines because it’s honest and full of warmth.
